The OBN Awards have grown steadily each year, both in the number of entries received and also in the level of support we get from the industry, so much so that we are on the move again.

We are delighted to announce that the 2018 awards will be taking place in the impressive and inspiring space of the Examination Schools in Oxford. The evening will be hosted in both the South and North Writing Schools, which allows us to increase capacity on the night to 300 guests.

Each year we review and refine the OBN Award categories and criteria to ensure they remain relevant and interesting to our audience. We are pleased to announce the following updates this year:

• The medtech categories have been split in two; the first recognises the Best Diagnostic or Imaging medtech Company, the second recognises a non-Diagnostics medtech Company
• The digital category has evolved to recognise a company that is best using a digital approach to improving healthcare
• A Best Specialist CRO category has been introduced to recognise a contract research organisation that works in a niche area
• The Best Sector Support category is a new, broad ranging award that recognises outstanding levels of support or service to companies in the life sciences sector, by a general CRO, law firm, IP agent, science park, sector organisation or government body

Applications are now being accepted for the OBN Annual Awards.
